The Galle Dutch Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Galle, on the southern coast of Sri Lanka. It's a beautifully preserved colonial fortress that was originally built by the Portuguese in the late 16th century and later extensively fortified by the Dutch during their occupation in the 17th century (from 1649 onwards).
Hikkaduwa Beach is one of Sri Lanka’s most famous and lively beach destinations, located on the southwest coast, about 100 km south of Colombo and just north of Galle. It's known for its golden sands, vibrant coral reefs, surf-friendly waves, and a fun, laid-back vibe.
Established by local residents, the museum offers an intimate and heartfelt portrayal of the tsunami's impact.
